909 Festival started in 2011 with a simple decision: go back to the core. Named after the Roland TR-909 drum machine, the festival is built on precision, repetition and restraint. As electronic music culture grew louder and more excessive, 909 chose another direction focusing on pure sound, less noise, and music first.
